For venues in the MindSeat Guide
Nobody pays to be in the guide. This is how we choose, how to send us an update, and the badge for your site.
How we choose
- Premium places only, chosen for people who live and work in Bali for weeks or months.
- At most ten places per sport or category in each area, rated in seats: one seat is worth it on a work day, two seats is worth a detour, three seats is worth planning your week around.
- We judge the thing itself first, whether that's the coaching, the courts or the kitchen, then what remote workers ask: can you work there, when is it quiet, how do you book.
- Every listing shows when and how we last checked it. We re-check listed places every month.
What we never do
- Take money for a listing or a better rating.
- Ask for a discount in return for being listed. Some places offer MindSeat customers a perk; it's shown separately and never decides who's in.
- Publish anything negative. If a place isn't for us, we don't list it.
Update your listing
Send new hours, prices, a move or a closure here or on WhatsApp. We check each update before it goes live, at the latest at our next monthly check.
The badge
Listed places can show the MindSeat Guide badge on their website. Each place page has the code with a link to its own listing.
Perks for MindSeat customers
Optional. If you'd like to offer our customers something, we list it on our member benefits page and next to your listing. It has no effect on whether you're in the guide or on your rating. Message us to set one up.
