The best gyms and recovery clubs in Bali for remote workers

Train at seven, sauna at eight, cold plunge, swim, breakfast, and you're at a desk by ten with the air conditioning on. Bali's recovery clubs have turned that into an ordinary Tuesday, and several of them have built somewhere proper to work afterwards.

Here's how to pick the one that fits your week.

Checked September 2026. Prices in US dollars, rupiah in brackets, at about Rp 17,600 to the dollar.

The short version

  • You want to work there for a few hours. Saya Club for a desk and a phone booth, Omni for the best-equipped room, House of Kairos for the setting.
  • You want the recovery and the laptop can wait. The Istana, The Ark, AMO, Body Factory.
  • Ubud or Uluwatu. Titi Batu and ELEMNT.
  • Everything on one membership. House of Kairos, Nirvana Life or Saya Club.
  • You're in Pererenan and staying. RITE, whose coworking space opens in December.

House of Kairos, Seseh

Opened in July, out past Pererenan in the rice fields, and it's the most serious build on the island: Indonesia's largest Technogym floor, a rooftop gym running Hyrox, ice baths at four and eight degrees, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, a big pool with a lounger deck, a restaurant, and a coworking floor that comes with membership.

Members like the work space. One calls it "proper comfy, and you could easily spend the whole day here — get your training in, grab some banging food, then crack on with a bit of work in between the gym sesh." Another says it "has good vibes and is included in the price." The changing rooms get called the best in Bali more than once, and the design is a level above anything else here.

It's new and it's busy, so the pool and the desks fill up at peak times. Go early. Kairos doesn't publish prices — a day pass has been running $43 to $45 (Rp 750,000–800,000) and membership $200 to $235 a month (Rp 3.5–4.1 million) — so message them on WhatsApp and sort the visit out before you drive over. Open 07:00 to 22:00.

Saya Club, Berawa

Three floors of air-conditioned gym inside Secana Beachtown Resort: reformer Pilates capped at six, Hyrox, sauna, ice bath, jacuzzi, sports massage, rooftop pool. What sets it apart is that the workspace isn't an afterthought here, it's a product.

SayaWork is a coworking membership you can take on its own for $83 a month (Rp 1,452,000) — fast Wi-Fi, a phone booth, printing, and meeting rooms with screens and whiteboards from $20 an hour (Rp 350,000). The full club is $213 a month (Rp 3,751,000), a day pass $24 (Rp 423,500). If you take calls for a living, this is the one. Open 06:00 to 22:00.

Omni, Munggu

A social wellness club with a big pool, sauna at 80 to 90 degrees, an infrared cabin, steam room, sun beds and a lawn to lie on afterwards.

The desks are the real thing: air conditioning, proper monitors, phone booths you can actually take a call in. Worth knowing the work room runs on its own membership, separate from the $37 day pass (Rp 646,800), so sort that out over WhatsApp before you drive there. Open 06:00 to 22:00.

RITE, Pererenan

One of the most polished rooms on that side of Canggu, and for now a train-and-recover club rather than somewhere to spend a working morning. That changes in December, when a 1,100 square metre expansion adds a coworking space and a restaurant.

A day pass is $28 (Rp 500,000), four weeks unlimited $182 (Rp 3,200,000). If you're in Pererenan for the long haul, talk to them about a membership before the expansion opens and the queue starts. Open 06:00 to 22:00.

Reload Sanctuary, Canggu

Recovery first, on Jalan Canggu Padang Linjong, and one of the better-looking clubs in Canggu. The passes are the clever part: a full day at $31 (Rp 549,000), sunrise before eight at $26 (Rp 449,000), sunset from five at $20 (Rp 349,000), a month at $210 (Rp 3,699,000). Entry is by face ID and it's adults only.

A coworking area is part of the build and members have started using it, but it's new enough that you should ask what's open before you plan a morning around it. Come for the recovery and treat the desks as a bonus.

Nirvana Life, Berawa

The deepest recovery menu here: ice bath at four degrees, a cold bath at ten, dry and infrared saunas, steam room, jacuzzi at forty, hot tub. Coworking comes with all three membership tiers, which start around $120 for four weeks (Rp 2,120,000); a day pass is $41 (Rp 725,000) before tax and service.

Work happens in the members' coworking suite upstairs rather than the ground-floor café, which is kept screen-free — worth knowing before you settle in downstairs with a laptop. It's open until 23:00, the latest on this list.

ELEMNT, Uluwatu

Two floors above Dreamland with a pool, sauna, ice baths and a café, and communal seating the club itself calls a social coworking space for Bali's nomad crowd. Fast Wi-Fi, $18 a day (Rp 325,000), $148 a month (Rp 2,600,000).

One thing to plan around: it shuts at 20:00 on weekdays and 14:00 on Sunday. Evening calls happen somewhere else.

Titi Batu, Ubud

The most complete facility in Ubud and a proper members' club — Panatta gym, 25-metre lap pool, a separate family pool, sauna, steam room, cold plunge, squash courts, a skate park, air-conditioned studios, a restaurant and a coffee shop, with a members' lounge and coworking alongside.

The lounge and the desks come with membership rather than day entry, so if you're planning to work there, ask about joining rather than turning up. Open from 07:00.

Where the laptop stays in the bag

Some of the best rooms in Bali are deliberately screen-free, and they're better for it. Go to these to recover properly.

  • The Istana, Uluwatu. Clifftop meditation and biohacking — cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, float tanks — run as a phone-free space, which is exactly what guests love it for. Timed sessions from $11 (Rp 200,000).
  • The Ark, Pererenan. A boutique recovery spa with sauna, steam dome, cold plunge, hot tub and a sun deck. Three hours is $29 (Rp 517,500 including tax). Quiet on purpose.
  • Body Factory, Canggu. One of the island's best-established gyms, with a recovery wing kept calm.
  • Terapung, Seminyak. Open-air float tanks and contrast therapy. An hour of ice bath and sauna is $11 (Rp 200,000), an hour's float $34 (Rp 600,000).

The exception is AMO on Batu Bolong — a bathhouse, spa, skin clinic and café that puts plug-in seating in four places, including the poolside deck beside the bathhouse circuit, and writes specifically for founders and remote workers. Entry is $17 (Rp 300,000), four weeks $102 (Rp 1,800,000).

Two things before you go

Ask about the work space when you book, not when you arrive. At several of these clubs it's a membership benefit or a separate pass, and it's a two-minute message to find out which.

And check the closing time against your calendar. Most shut between 20:00 and 22:00. If your team is in Europe or the US, your last meeting isn't happening there.

Where the rest of the week happens

These clubs are excellent at what they're for: training, recovering, and two focused hours with good coffee and better air conditioning than your villa. For a morning, there's nothing better in Bali.

What none of them can be — and no café or coworking space either — is a desk at your height, a chair built for eight hours and a screen at eye level, in the room you sleep next to, still there at eleven at night when the call runs long.

That part is ours. A height-adjustable desk at $50 a month, a fully adjustable ergonomic chair at $70, a 32-inch 4K monitor at $160 — or all three as The Best at $345 a month. We deliver the same day, set it up, and move it for free when you change villa.

Keep the membership for the mornings. Work at a desk that's yours.

And when the desk posture catches up with you, our customers get 20% off at The Bali Physio and 20% at WeFitness in Kerobokan, with more on our member benefits page.
