Best coworking spaces in Canggu (2026)
Canggu has more coworking spaces than any other part of Bali, and more stale blog posts about them. Four of the names you will find in almost every "best of" list (Dojo, Outpost Canggu, Karya and Kinship) are closed. This guide covers the seven that are open in September 2026, with prices taken from the venues' own sites rather than copied from other blogs, and it ends with the honest question of whether you need a membership at all if you have a proper desk and monitor in your villa.

BWork Bali: the big one
Jl. Nelayan No. 9C, on the Canggu shortcut. The largest and most professional space in the area: a garden pool, café, yoga studio, a podcast studio, and a no-talking concentration room that regulars rate as the best place in Canggu to get eight focused hours. Open 24 hours, seven days, closed only for Nyepi. A day pass is IDR 299,000 (199,000 with an Indonesian ID), a week 1,200,000, a month 3,850,000, and there is a cheaper 2,000,000 monthly if you only work outside 10 am to 3 pm. One-person focus rooms are 60,000 an hour. Meeting rooms for 3 to 15 people run 150,000 to 500,000 an hour. Free parking.
Suits: people who work long hours and want a serious space with a community attached.
Tropical Nomad: the social one
Jl. Subak Canggu No. 2, next to a gym on the shortcut. Open-plan, rice-field garden, café, shower and surfboard rack, and a mix of air-conditioned and open rooms so you can choose your temperature. Members get 24-hour access. Day pass 260,000, a 7-hour pass 200,000, unlimited month 3,300,000, or hour packs from 1,350,000 for 50 hours. There is a coliving bundle if you want to live upstairs.
Suits: people who want to meet people. Reviews praise the staff and the food; one September 2026 review complains about the gym next door spilling over.
PUCO Rooftop: the value one
Gg. Pratama No. 1A in Berawa. Rooftop views over rice fields and the sunset, an eatery downstairs, and prices that undercut everything else in Canggu: day pass 200,000, an 8-hour pass 150,000, an evening "owl" pass from 5 pm for 100,000, and a 30-day membership for 2,000,000. Dedicated desks 2,500,000. Focus rooms 30,000 to 50,000 an hour, one meeting room for seven at 100,000 an hour, and you can rent a monitor for 25,000 a day. Open 24 hours on weekdays, 8 am to 10:30 pm at weekends. The pool is at their guesthouse round the corner (50,000 a visit).
Suits: budget-conscious remote workers who want quiet and a good café. A September 2026 review calls it "favourite coworking in Asia".
SOKKOOL: the coliving one
Jl. Pemelisan Agung No. 7, Berawa. Coliving rooms above a coworking floor with a pool, gym, rooftop lounge and podcast studio, and a calendar of padel and community dinners. Day pass 180,000, unlimited month 2,700,000, dedicated desk 3,000,000, hour packs from 1,200,000, night-owl plan (5 pm to 8 am) 1,500,000. Badge access 24/7 on monthly plans. Meeting room 250,000 an hour for non-members.
Suits: solo nomads in their late twenties and thirties who want the social side organised for them. The rooms are small.
Nebula: the quiet one
Jl. Raya Pantai Berawa, Gg. Jepun No. 5. Design-led, deliberately quiet, aimed at founders: three soundproof call booths, a 20-person conference room, a sauna and ice bath, and a recording studio. Monthly dedicated desk 3,000,000, premium desk 4,000,000, private offices from 11,500,000. They do not publish a day-pass price on the site; secondary listings quote 200,000 to 300,000, so ask. All member tiers get 24/7 access. 5.0 on Google across 376 reviews.
Suits: people who want deep work and private offices, not events.
SETTER: the offices one
Jl. Raya Semat No. 1, on the Canggu–Berawa border, with sister sites at Berawa Beach and in Ubud. Two meeting rooms, four focus rooms, a free call booth, a rooftop terrace and 38 private offices across the sites (12,890,000 to 39,890,000 a month). Day pass 299,000, or 199,000 for evenings. The monthly price is the one number we could not pin down: their current site says 3,990,000 and their older site 2,890,000, so ask before you pay. Open 24/7 with a front desk 7 am to 11 pm.
Suits: small teams and anyone who needs a private office with a lease. If you are bringing a whole team, compare it with a villa office setup first; for four people the rental maths changes quickly.
Tribal Bali: the free one
Gg. Tribal, off Jl. Pantai Pererenan. A coworking hostel: the work floor is free if you buy from the café (minimum 100,000 a person for the first three hours, 200,000 after six), and hostel guests use it unlimited. Pool, garden, bar, open air and no air-conditioning, no meeting rooms, no call booths, 8 am to 10 pm. A September 2026 review flags the Wi-Fi as unstable for Zoom; treat it as a place to do email by the pool, not to take calls.
Suits: backpackers and short-stay nomads who want free and social.
Honourable mention: ZIN Cafe on Jl. Nelayan is a four-floor bamboo café that lets you work all day for a 200,000 minimum spend, 6:30 am to midnight, with one air-conditioned focus room.
The four that closed (and still show up in every list)
- Dojo Bali at Echo Beach, the original Canggu coworking space, closed in December 2022. Its own site says so.
- Outpost Canggu on Jl. Raya Semat closed its coworking floor in spring 2024. Outpost now runs two spaces in Ubud and one in Sri Lanka. The Google listing is still up, which is why blogs keep copying it.
- Karya Coworking on Jl. Pantai Berawa has been "temporarily closed for maintenance" since at least January 2026 and Google marks it permanently closed.
- Kinship Studio in Berawa: site offline, last review January 2024, marked permanently closed.
If a roundup lists any of these with prices, its other prices are probably stale too.
Do you need a membership?
Add it up. An unlimited month at the mid-range spaces is 2,000,000 to 3,850,000, so US$115 to 220, before the scooter and the traffic; Canggu traffic now turns a five-kilometre trip into an hour at the wrong time of day. A membership buys you three things: people, air-conditioning, and a chair that does not hurt.
The first one is worth paying for if you want it. The other two you can have at the villa for less: a height-adjustable desk is $50 a month, an ergonomic chair $70, and the two together as The Essential $99. Add a 27-inch monitor and you have a better desk than any coworking hot desk for $199 a month, delivered the same day, with no commute. Most long-stayers in Canggu end up doing both: a villa setup for the daily grind and a cheaper hour-pack or evening plan at PUCO or SOKKOOL for the days they want company.
