Rent a screen in Bali: which size, what it costs and how it gets to your villa
A laptop screen is fine for a week. For a month of real work in Bali you want a proper screen at eye level, and you don't need to buy one or carry one through an airport. You can rent a monitor in Bali by the week or by the month, and it arrives at your villa the day you order it.

Which screen to rent
We rent three, and the choice comes down to what's on it all day.
The LG 32-inch 4K is the one for video, photo, design and anyone who keeps a timeline or three windows open at once. It has HDR10 and DCI-P3 colour, built-in speakers, and a stand that lifts, tilts and turns to portrait. It's $160 a month or $64 a week.
The AOC 27-inch QHD suits most people and most desks: code beside a terminal, a spreadsheet beside a browser. It's $110 a month or $44 a week.
The 24-inch Full HD is the pick for a shallow desk, or when the second screen is mainly for mail and chat. It's $40 a month or $16 a week.
Connecting it to your laptop
The 27 and the 32 connect with one USB-C cable that carries the picture and charges the laptop, so a MacBook needs nothing else on the desk. Both also have a USB 3 hub for your keyboard, webcam or drive. The 24-inch comes with an HDMI cable and a USB-C adapter for MacBooks. Every screen ships with its cables, and whoever delivers it plugs it in and checks the picture before leaving.
How delivery works
Order in the morning and the screen is on your desk that afternoon. Delivery and pickup are free in Canggu, Pererenan, Seminyak, Kuta, Ubud, Uluwatu and Sanur for orders above the minimum, and we quote other areas when you send the location. The shortest rental is one week. When you change villa, we move everything for free once a month.

One screen or the whole desk
A screen on a dining table fixes your eyes and leaves your back where it was. Most people who rent a screen add the rest within a fortnight, so it's worth looking at the packages first. Cafés and coworking spaces are good for company and a change of scene, and the better ones will lend you a screen for the day. What they can't give you is your own screen at your own eye level, in the room you sleep next to, still there for the call at eleven at night.
