This is where people who want quiet move now, a more settled crowd living among wide rice fields, with the Pererenan strip ten minutes away for dinner. Munggu, a farming village of 13 banjars, is known for its Mekotek ritual, held at Kuningan.
Seseh Beach is a wide, south-facing stretch of black sand with luxury villas built over it. Few tourists come, so it feels private. The surf is a reef break for intermediates, best from mid to high tide. Thalassa, on Jalan Pura Kramat, is a relaxed bar on the beach, and LUNA Beach Club is just across the regency line at Nyanyi.
